OVERVIEW:

During some search on Authorize.net, the eco-conscious outlet of Dharma Merchant Services came into my notice and then seeing their inclusion in the reseller directory I thought about giving them an individualized review to assist my readers. In the beginning I found it funny as the entire meditation kind of theme of their website made me think that it was not a merchant services company but merely a yoga store.

Before you misunderstand me, I tell you about the competency of the people involved in this company. For instance Jeff Marcous, the founder and president of the company, is ex-Sr. Vice President of sales and marketing department of Authorize.net and also an ex-regional manager of Card service International. His competent resume surely verifies his authenticity. I became certain of their business style when I read more about them and truly speaking, that brought me satisfaction. Looking at their way of working and the fine reputation they own, I honestly think that in the future, they can become a big name in the merchant service industry.

They are supporting their advancement in the industry by associating with many industry-related companies who are not only advance thinkers but are also environment friendly in the same way. Besides giving discounts to the non-profits, they also donate 10% of their gross income to their merchant’s non-profit of choice.

Lately Dharma Merchant Services have become a member of the BBB, so I recommend you to visit them periodically, and add to it, the “user review” section at the bottom of this page.

It would be an ideal industry if many more providers of such type start coming into the business, who believe in the motto, “talk the talk and walk the walk”.

Due to their splendid services, I rate Dharma Merchant Services 5 out of 5.

VERIFIABLE TESTIMONIALS/REFERENCES:

All of their testimonials include name (both first and last) and affiliated company. In my experience all of them besides being easily approachable, were also readily responsive and I had great positive response about Dharma Merchant Services from all of them.

Security/Privacy:
No third-party security (i.e. McAfee, Verisign or Truste), but it doesn’t look like they ask for any sensitive information through their website either.

Customer Service:
I’ve personally chatted with a customer service rep, who also happens to be the VP. She’s incredibly nice people…seriously…nice!!!

  1. Just signed up with Dharma Merchant Services…they were AMAZINGLY helpful, and I can’t recommend them enough. The contract is simple and clear and I didn’t have to sign away my firstborn. I can’t recommend them enough!

  2. I signed up with Dharma, and received my processing terminal which was quite expensive. I tried to use the service several times, and it wouldn’t work. A charge got “stuck” in the system, and we never received the money. I called their customer service, and after hours of working with them over several days, they told me that their system did not work with my digital phone line. I told them that it would have been nice if I were apprised of that fact, BEFORE I spent all of the money. They will receive the terminal back and give me a refund, I suppose, but they will not credit my account for the amounts that I paid for a service that never worked, and they are charging me a $25 account closure fee. I am not impressed with Dharma, and I think they owe it to their customers to tell them beforehand, that their system does not work with certain phone lines.
